JOB DESCRIPTION

Senior AV Project Manager – Live Events & AV Production

An established global event technology and production business is looking for an experienced Senior AV Project Manager to take ownership of the technical delivery of large-scale corporate and live events.

This is a senior, hands-on project management role overseeing events from initial technical planning and design through to onsite delivery and post-event close. You’ll work closely with clients, technical teams, suppliers, venues and internal stakeholders to ensure every project is delivered safely, smoothly and commercially.

You’ll be responsible for the full technical production lifecycle, combining strong AV knowledge with project leadership, client management, logistics and financial control.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Manage complex AV and technical production projects from initial planning through to onsite execution and post-event wrap-up.
  • Develop detailed production schedules, technical plans, labour requirements, equipment lists and project documentation.
  • Lead technical teams, freelancers, suppliers and venue partners throughout the delivery of each event.
  • Act as the senior onsite point of contact for clients, overseeing technical delivery from load-in and setup through show operation and load-out.
  • Work closely with Sales and Operations teams to establish technical requirements and develop appropriate production solutions.
  • Review event specifications, equipment requirements and technical documentation to ensure proposed solutions meet client expectations.
  • Produce and review technical diagrams and production documentation where required.
  • Manage onsite changes to schedules, equipment, labour and technical requirements while maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and provide a high level of service throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Take ownership of project budgets, monitoring labour, equipment, sub-hire and supplier costs to protect project profitability.
  • Ensure onsite changes and additional costs are accurately captured and communicated for billing.
  • Oversee project inventory and coordinate the return of outsourced and sub-hired equipment following events.
  • Ensure Risk Assessments, Method Statements and other required H&S documentation are completed and communicated ahead of delivery.
  • Maintain compliance with technical, production and health & safety standards across all projects.
  • Mentor technical team members and share best practice to strengthen overall event delivery.
  • Complete post-event reporting, workforce reconciliation and project administration.
About You

You’ll bring a strong technical AV background alongside significant experience managing the delivery of corporate events, live productions or broadcast projects.

You’ll ideally have:
  • 4+ years’ technical experience within corporate events, live production, staging, AV or broadcast.
  • Strong experience managing technically complex events and productions.
  • Excellent knowledge of professional AV equipment and event production workflows.
  • Experience leading technical crews, suppliers and freelance teams onsite.
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing project budgets, costs and commercial performance.
  • A solid understanding of event logistics and operational planning.
  • Knowledge of technical diagrams and production documentation.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple moving parts under pressure.
  • A good understanding of event health & safety requirements, including RAMS.
  • Flexibility to work around live event schedules and travel when required.
What’s On Offer

You’ll join an established international business delivering events across leading venues and environments, with access to high-end AV technology and opportunities to work on technically ambitious productions.

Benefits include:
  • Private healthcare after 12 months’ service.
  • Enhanced family leave provisions.
  • Company sick pay.
  • Employee assistance programme and employee perks platform.
  • Supported volunteering opportunities.
  • Employee recognition and referral schemes.
  • Clearly defined career development pathways.
  • Access to state-of-the-art event technology.
  • International career opportunities through a global network.
  • Long-service recognition programme.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AV Project Manager ready to take ownership of larger, more technically complex productions while continuing to develop within a global live events environment.
